I really enjoyed my WRAP training with R.O.S. The facilitators were really down to earth. The group didn’t have the stiff or stuffy feeling of a classroom or seminar. It was relaxed and interactive.
This past year things have turned upside down for me and somehow things just keep getting worst. I received some more tragic news just before one of our classes. I was very emotional and not planning to attend. I was filled with hatred and despair. Honestly i went to class that day just because i was scared of what i may have done next. I needed a distraction from my downward swirling thoughts. I went in with my big shades on, in a pit of negativity. Slowly.. I was able to unbind my emotions. I listened to new and better ways of thinking and doing, even in the midst of crisis! It was empowering to hear other people (trainers included) sharing some of the pain they had or were experiencing. I learned that no matter how deep the depth of despair is.. Go to my wellness tools or try new ones. During class i tried different things i wouldn't usually do and it honestly worked. I really wish everyone could know just how terrible i felt before and then could feel how strong and hopeful i felt by the end, even though nothing in my situation had physically changed. True power and success began when I changed negative thoughts to positive ones. Written during WRAP: My inner beauty is my speciality. You may admire from the outside, but please don't cross my boundary lines. Please do be part of my ever changing, growing, expanding fields of beauty. Lend me your strides of greatness & Lend me your deep pits of pain.. Then I will see the many intricacies of each flower and appreciate the many shapes, sizes and reasons for the thorns.
